Dutzie Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Here is what’s on the bench. Still need to touch up the weathering on the frame and add some more detail to the cab. Put the truck on wheels last night. I kind of like the contrast between the weathered frame and the “new “ tires. What do you all think?
steveracer Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 (edited) I can hear that diesel clatter and smell the fumes. When you gonna show us the model? I would weather the tires. One or two of them slightly differently than the others.... Edited December 22, 2021 by steveracer
bigred63 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Looking Good! I like the way you got the Cab built, no visible lines to see! It looks like one piece!
Rockford Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Looks great, suppose some weathering on the tire sidewalls would be right. Nice Consolidated Freightways livery too. So is it going to be a barebones job with a cut-off front bumper?
trick my mixer Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 You can never weather a CF truck too much. Looks real nice.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 Man I like this one!!! The weathering looks good!!

RiskyBiscuit Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Outstanding work on the build and weathering! You did an amazing job removing the infamous cab seam and fixing the steps - flawless! What do you think about putting some black on the door panel lines to give it some more depth?
Dutzie Posted February 12, 2022 Author Posted February 12, 2022 Thanks Ron. Good point. I think black may stand out too much but a dark gray may look good. I will give it a shot.
