Claude Thibodeau Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Hi Michael! Wow, what a great mash-up of parts. They all blend seamlessly. But we all know how much work is involved. Bravo! Your free-hand traced "Ohio flames" are very impressive. They remind me of the famous George Lange Deuce built by Bobby Alloway that made the cover of countless mags back then. Yours is of a slightly lighter color. Truly impressive! CT
Peter Lombardo Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Beautiful! The colors work perfectly. I have done flames like this a number of times and realize how much work you did to get such great results. Impressive to say the least. Well done! You should be very proud of this one!
mrm Posted February 10, 2022 Author Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) Thanks again everyone. I really tried to do something different and I learned a lot from it. I have a couple other Deuces done in this style, that just need finishing touches and to take pictures. They have no flames tho. The Alloway roadster was the obvious inspiration. Speaking of flames, I have another flame job done on a Boyd’s Hauler, that still needs quite a bit of work and a couple more in the plans that should be more or less immediately recognizable. Thanks again for the kind words. Stay tuned for more. Edited February 10, 2022 by mrm
Dave Darby Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Man that is lovely. Looks like it belongs on the cover of The Rodder's Journal.
