Not to pick nits here, but...

This has been in the news for a couple of years now, and there has never been any mention of being an aircraft carrier. The sails are shaped like wings, but that appears to be the only reference to aircraft for this boat.

Explain this one then, because it's not that I just don't find it funny, I truly don't get the joke here.

1) Buffalo can't talk, nor do they go to college. Therefore this isn't funny.

2) Medusa didn't actually have snakes growing out of her head, and is a mythical made-up person anyway. Nor is there any historical evidence that St. Patrick actually drove the snakes out of Ireland. Furthermore, St. Patrick and Medusa are from widely separated times in history, and could not possibly have dated. Therefore this is not funny either.

Just goes to show: ALWAYS TRUST THE NEWS MEDIA BECAUSE THEY ARE EXPERTS !!!

Pretty much what my son said. I operate light rail and when I have to go into maximum braking to try to miss a car, they refer to it as "did you take evasive action" which I reply "yes, I swerved".

Used to have these hanging under the front bumper of some of our flightline vehicles in the USAF. The idea was the magnets would pick up foreign objects (screws, nuts, bolts, etc.) to keep them out of aircraft engines.  They didn't seem to realize a large portion of such things found on the flightline came from the airplanes and were not a ferrous alloy, so they were not magnetic.
