Jantrix Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 So after primer and paint, the engraving for the speedometer on this venerable AMT kit, is nearly indistinguishable. Has there ever been a decal released in a kit or aftermarket that might do the job? I'm going to look into printing out a photo-reduced image and use that, but a decal would be better.

Plowboy Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Next time, foil or tape your instrument panel before primer and paint. Once done, you can paint it black and lightly sand the details to make them show. 1

1972coronet Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Barring decal availability : One may also mask-off the clustre (or paint white if not already moulded as such) then 'wash' the clustre with either Tamiya Panel Accent or thinned black paint, which will leave the raised characters in white.
