Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan , was being interviewed by a French journalist and animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting.

The journalist asked, "What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?' "

Nugent replied, "Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French."

The interview ended at that point.

Ted Nugent is not afraid to tell it like it is whether he's politically correct or not. Now, whether the people he talks to have a sense of humor or not, that's another thing. ;)

poor stupid journalist...........wonder what was the last thought in his/her head before he/she asked Ted, "What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him? Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?' " B)

This country would be a lot better place if'n a lot more of us were like 'the Nuge'.

I saw Nuge along time ago, (loudest concert I've ever been to)my ears rang for three days. It was a great concert. I still have a button from that show, it's says" If it's too loud, you're too old."Ted Nugent. :DB)

"Stranglehold" is the most kick butt rock song ever, IMO.

Side Note: Best concert i ever went to was in 99 in Providence RI, Skid Row, The Nuge, and Kiss. I'll never forget seeing the Nugent @ 40 something still swinging from the rafters of the Civic Center in a loincloth...

Ol' Ted will be 61 December of this year, which makes him 50 in '99...

So now you're even more impressed, aren't you?

"Vegetarians are cool. All I eat are vegetarians - except for the occasional mountain lion steak." -Ted Nugent B)

Ted is way cool! Had the opportunity to meet him several times. Once while hunting up around the Alpena MI area

we took his table by accident as he was in the can and came back and said hey fellas this my table and one of my buddies said are you Ted Nugent he said yeah, then my buddy said well have seat and we shot the breeze about hunting for a couple hours wished everyone good luck hunting and that was it.

I then met him a couple more times at our local PBS station during pledge drives when I delivered pizzas there.

I sure hope we don't have any French members on here. I don't think they'd be too happy...

Wouldn't worry 'bout it Harry. That's no different than say..lawyer jokes, polish jokes, italian jokes, Obama jokes, cracker jokes and of course the one I should take personal offense at (but I don't) ...cop jokes.

Of course, with Nugent, it was most probaly not a joke! LOL

I was able to catch a lot of Ted in the 70's. He played many venues in Ohio and he never disappointed. I wonder when the Motor City Madman last touched a model car?

I'll say one thing a lot of people don't like the answers they get. So when they ask the question, they should ask it in a way that will get the answer they want.

I See that this is another stupid question by a reporter-interviewer.Not saying there stupid but they should think before they speak.

The way I see it. Tell it like it is. If they get mad so be it.

If you don't want to know the truth. Don't ask me the question.

I never make fun of anyone, and treat everyone the same.

Needless to say I don't get ask a lot of questions, and thats fine by me.

If everyone had these simple personal rules in life, life would be a lot simpler and they are as follows.

Don't get into my personal business and we will get alone just fine.

Ask me anything and expect the truth without getting mad or offended.

As for Ted's answer, well thats his personal thoughts. And thats the way it is.

I don't hunt but have friends that do, and every hunting story that I have heard not one time have I heard them say.

I wonder what the animal was thinking before I killed it.

Thanks Earl Miller

Nobody ever accused of Ted Nugent not saying what was on his mind.

DAAAAAYYYYYUUUUUM ;) I got a whole new respect for old people :o

I saw the Rolling Stones in the mid 90's (and I think they were in their mid 90's back then too ;) ). I have to say it was impressive seeing them running around on stage like they were 20. I guess it just shows what happens when you take good care of yourself, early to bed, eat right, stay away from fast women, booze in moderation and keep off the drugs... errr, um Rolling Stones, Ted Nugent... well there must be something to be said about being able to afford good doctors.

Ted Nugent built models?

there was a Anthony Bourdain show on recently where he spent a day or two with Ted, it was pretty entertaining to watch. i wonder sometimes how long it's going to be before the U.S. government decides that he is a threat and tries to take away is arsenal of awesome guns.

Dave

Well if he did I'm pretty sure in would be a 1970 Chevelle, with with that well used badly in need of a paint job look. Oh and a bow rack in the back window.
