comp1839 Posted April 21, 2022 Author Posted April 21, 2022 my absolute favorite part is the engine. this engine is based on a 5.2 inch bore space 822 cube Gene Fulton nitrous motor.it is all scratch built and fairly accurate. 2

Ralph Henderson Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Geez Dave, your scratch building chops are second too none...... Thanks for the tutorial....
comp1839 Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Ralph, good to hear from you. how've you been?.....and thanks.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Thanks for showing us all these fantastic parts Dave, your attention to recreating the true details is unquestionable. ? I love the engine block machined in Renshape, one day I'll have to try this material if I can end up getting a small piece of it at a decent price...
comp1839 Posted April 24, 2022 Author Posted April 24, 2022 Francis, renshape is a treat to work with. i got so tired of breaking my small end mills on aluminum. it machines great, sands and files great. a little primer w/ filler and you're good to go. sent you a PM.
John B. Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Wow - I'm sorry that I did not see this earlier! Viewing this build is like taking an online master class in the art of car model building. Thank you very much for posting!
comp1839 Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 John, thanks. Jason, i'm glad you approve. please keep me up to date with your hemi and you solid works!!!
NYLIBUD Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Man,i wish i had a 1/4 of the building skills such as you have. This thing is incredible.Like to see the body.???

Couldn't imagine doing that in the mill. I have a cnc engraver sitting here I'm going to try out when I get to my beadlocks. See how well it works. Its designed for pet tags and many other things so it shouldn't be a problem with the anodize and with a 12"x12" table, it's big enough for my uses!
Jimmy Wilson Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Awesome work, I've always been really impressed with your building skills. On a side note I saw some online photos from a car show on Bang Shift.com that I think is your car I've seen in some of your past posts. Am I correct? It's an incredible looking ride too!
comp1839 Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 Ron, thanks. Paul, ALWAYS a fan of your work. if you need anything, let me know!!! Jimmy, thanks! you are correct about that being my ride (actually me and the wife's). we had a blast at that show! so many good friends in the car / pro street world!!! 1
comp1839 Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 (edited) so, i got some more stuff done. i'm working a lot faster than normal. some of the details may or may not get put into the car. i'm just really dis appointed in the thickness of the body and i don't want to put an extreme amount of effort into a build that, in the end, will not look right with body that is 1" thick in scale. any way.... fuel system plug wires more interior panels fire bottles hoosier mask bonded the scoop to the body Edited April 30, 2022 by comp1839 3
AmericanMuscleFan Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 WOW Dave, your real toy is a piece of art, It helps to understand your obsession for the creation of all these details on your model, a logical continuation I would say! Even if the body walls are thicker than desired, I don't think they are going to be the focal point considering the amount of detail that enthusiasts will have to deal with... ?
