I used this stuff (actual duct tape) . Still on my "use what you got" mode. turn out not too bad.

I know one thing about duct tape, when its sticks its stuck.. Carl, its pretty thick compared to BMF

No, I cut a short length, laid it flat, use a 2mm suare rod as a spacer for the ruler and used e very sharp hobby knife.

You are right, it is thicker but for a flat stripe I find it worked quite well.
