So this year's Cannonball community build entries have to be from the year you were born.  Glad I was born in '67,  'cause that is my favorite year of Chevelle.  I started with an old buildup that the previous builder did not paint. It came apart very easy. (Thank you P.B). My secret engine builder provided me with a twin turboed injected 454. I found the tire/wheel combo in the parts boxes. The suspension was lowered (but of course), and rear end had mini, mini tubs and minor narrowing to get those meats to tuck under. Inner fenderwells had to be removed and firewall modified to get that monster of a big block to ....almost...fit under the hood. Had to modify the hood, which took me out of my comfort zone(much of this build did the same thing). A set of nascar disc brakes were adapted on all four corners.(let's just say that it also has a nascar spring package under it as well). So here is where I am at. Chassis is buttoned up, and body is painted. I still need to sort out the interior color. Basic black is top of the list at the moment.

But it's not RED! ?  Seriously, this ad was below your post tonight:

I like the wheels, shows the disk brakes off.  For some reason just about every project I tackle is out my comfort zone, exception are end-of-year OOB slap together builds.

That is a crazy coincidence.  ?  My favorite color is blue, so of course that is what it looks best in. ?

Same with my dad, have pictures of 5 vehicles he owned that were blue.  Red is over-rated.  My '68 Chevy pickup is blue too.

It's cool your resurrected this model, look forward to the finished product.

What does one of my favorite tv characters say?  "I don't believe in coincidences". My dad had a blue 68, and I have had a 70, as well as 69 GMC....both blue.

Nice!  I've thought about doing a diorama of this, Twin Arrows.  One fell down a few months ago, history disappearing.

Anyway, enough about me, get to work and finish that! ?️

Nice work Sam.  I kinda like the interior color of the raw plastic, maybe a blue-silver color would look nice.
