The red neck hill billies around here would have packed that car full of tannerite

I'm a firm believer in the idea of saving a car instead of scrapping it, but I don't understand why anyone would bother with this one.

There does come a point when restoring or rebuilding doesn't make sense.

I mean, maybe if this car had some sort of strong sentimental value for the guy, but it doesn't appear so.

I article clearly says he got the car as a goof. Threw out a cheap bid and it won!

He has no plans or delusions of restoring it, he just wanted to prove that something this bad could run again. He also said it's not safe or street legal, but it does run - Fast!

In the end, it'll probably be picked over and scrapped. There's just nothing much you can do with it. It'll never make Barrett-Jackson.

At least everything but the vin tags won't!?

After reading and watching videos about this Pontiac I wondered if the authentic Bonnie and Clyde death car could have been repaired mechanically enough to drive the way they 'repaired' this GTO

Bonnie and Clyde's Death Car, Primm, Nevada

then i read this version of the story about other fake death cars people tried to replicate

https://www.hotcars.com/where-is-bonnie-and-clydes-car/

even if it did run and drive there is no way i would sit in it let alone drive it

Well, at one time the actual car or a fake of it did see road use back in the 80's in what I believe is called "The Great Race" or something along those lines
