Ace-Garageguy Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Drought-resistant native plants are smarter to use for desert landscaping than those that need a lot of water. 2
LennyB Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Water, water everywhere but not a drop in my drink please, I want it straight. 1 3
A modeler named mike Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Straight outta the horses mouth when asked did he like honey nuts and oats, "Neigh" 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 1 Posted February 1 (edited) Neigh should not be confused with nigh, and remember, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him recite the Gettysburg Address. Edited February 1 by Ace-Garageguy 3
LennyB Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Address where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Speach is 97 Taneytown Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325 and horses are welcome as long as they don’t talk or drink too much. 1 1
LennyB Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Action said Hitchcock but Tippi Hedren was afraid to move as there was bird poop all around her any step she took. 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 "Took", pronounced like "spook", is a Hobbit family name, and was that of the character "Pippin". 1
LennyB Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Pippin is a masculine given name of Frankish origin with uncertain meaning, the name was borne by various members of the Carolingian family that ruled the Austrasian Empire in the Middle Ages, in what is now France and the western parts of Germany; most notably Pepin the Short, the first Carolingian king of the Franks and father of Charlemagne.
A modeler named mike Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Charlemagne had a beard, it was long and he was weird, but as the King he didn't care, for he ruled his people with his sword in hand, making Christianity the rule of the land. 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Land mines near my mailbox might be the solution to the increasingly frequent dog-exhaust leavings. 2 1
LennyB Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Leavings by dogs are referred to as land mines around here. 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) "Here" she said, "have a dog biscuit" and I shuddered as I thought to myself "you're not understanding the concept of 'biscuit'..." Edited February 2 by Ace-Garageguy
A modeler named mike Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Biscuit in the oven and bacon gravy mixed in a black iron skillet is a breakfast that we enjoy at least once a week, but when I used to work in the cabinet shop I used wooden biscuits shaped like footballs to help position edge joints securely thus creating an even surface. Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 (edited) Surface tension is all that keeps all the water from spilling over the edge of the flat Earth; follow the science. Edited February 2 by Ace-Garageguy 3
LennyB Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Science was not Columbus’s strong point but he listened to Bill and didn’t fall off the end of the earth, but he did fall off a barstool once. 4
NOBLNG Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 Once you’ve smelled the aroma of freshly cut styrene it’s almost impossible to stop the kit hacking. 3
A modeler named mike Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Hacking is a big concern for many, so it's best to keep a box of kleenex near by.
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 By playing this game that some people probably think is silly and pointless, we're actually exercising our brains and getting smarter. 2
A modeler named mike Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Smarter farter is one who leaves the scene quickly so not be singled out.
A modeler named mike Posted February 2 Posted February 2 From the depths of my feeble mind to the fingertips of my boney fingers it did. 1
LennyB Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Did it not go a bit astray on it's journey from your mind to your fingertips, perhaps took a right turn when it should have gone left and wound up searching for a happy medium before it landed on this page? 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Page turning, bookmarking, and storage of printed matter are so difficult and stressful that reading by the technically savvy is now done on electronic display devices where you often don't actually own anything but the device...not the text.
