bobthehobbyguy Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 (edited) Check out this video of a scratchbuilt pickup. Edited September 6, 2022 by bobthehobbyguy 4
Mike C. Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Wow! Sometimes I like to think I'm pretty good at scratch building things until I see something like this and then I realize I'm not even in the same building as somebody like this. The work involved in the doors and wheels alone would have been enough to make me walk away.
espo Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Great craftsmanship. Reminds me of the models we started out with when I was a child. The kit would be a block of wood and a few sheets of balsa wood that you would glue together and sand to shape, and no they never ever even came close to this person has done here. A builder can learn from watching his shaping techniques.

bobthehobbyguy Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 It's also amazing how few tools he uses. Also several are ones he's made himself.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 Although this isn't a car or truck this another amazing scratchbuilding video. Lots to learn from the technique.
Oldcarfan27 Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 What I can't understand is how he can run a Dremel that close and still have fingers. Amazing work!
