1972coronet Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 (edited) Nekoshima (Cat Island: Neko = Cat, Shima = Island). Oh, how I would LOVE to visit this place! Likewise, I would love to hang out in a Neko Cafe (there are many). Edited September 14, 2022 by 1972coronet
NYLIBUD Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Dam that’s a lot of cats.??.I once had four,3 black and one Calico, but unfortunately they all died.My late mother had a huge phobia against cats. She couldn’t even look at a cat without freaking out..No one, including her ever really knew the reason for her phobia.
iamsuperdan Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 My cat allergy is acting up just by watching that video. ? 2
TonyK Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Fascinating! Those cats are very friendly and seem pretty friendly with each other too. Can't imagine it's always that way.
espo Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Notice several with short or docked tails. They all seem well groomed as well as well feed. 1

1972coronet Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Disregard that preceding post... Clipped/cropped ears indicate a spayed or neutered cat. Cats are highly revered in Japan (and, from what I've seen, South Korea as well, albeit without the folklore of the Maneki Neko [Beckoning Cat], which likely has to do with Imperial Rule from 1910-1945). There was Tama at the Kishi Station: a gorgeous Calico whose title and role was Super Stationmaster; her brother was there as well. Tama (cat) - Wikipedia 2
NYLIBUD Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Speaking of cats,a large Bobcat was seen recently wandering around in an upstate NY cemetery.? 1

Oldcarfan27 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Must be a peaceful place for them. Notice they don't run away when he walks up to them. (Then again, it could be the bag of food he's carrying) They seem to be cool with people around. 1
