Sam I Am Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Very nice! Love how the engine compartment is coming together.
Fantom Posted September 14, 2023 Author Posted September 14, 2023 Finally got paint for it. Factory color match from a local paint supplier. IMG_5950.mov
slusher Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Beautiful color and decals for your build!
Fantom Posted September 17, 2023 Author Posted September 17, 2023 Made the exhaust tips this weekend. Made from Aluminum tubing and swear words. 2
Fantom Posted September 22, 2023 Author Posted September 22, 2023 I’ve decided to delete the t tops. The clear tops have been sanded smooth, all the molded in lugs inside the roof ground off as much as possible, and the panels glued in and filled. Next I will sand them smooth and build a headliner. 3
Fantom Posted September 23, 2023 Author Posted September 23, 2023 Getting there, still some work to to though 1
Fantom Posted September 24, 2023 Author Posted September 24, 2023 She’s up her wheels , I have to the white letters and add valve stems though. 3
Fantom Posted September 30, 2023 Author Posted September 30, 2023 It’s always been my plan to add lights to the car, head lights tail lights…everything. I built light buckets for the taillights and will use rechargeable batteries hidden in the trunk area. I want to have access to the charging chord with out disassembling the whole car so I am using magnets to attach the rear spoiler and am going to run the chords behind the gas filler door. slusher Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Looking great! Lights will look really awesome!
Sam I Am Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 I really like the changes you have made with the wheels and filling in the t-tops. It is going to give it a whole different flavor than a smokey and the bandit tribute. Makes me think I can turn mine into a Rockford Files car, the later one.
Holdon Coupe Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Nicely done and Looking good so far. I did build that back in the early 80s I have always liked american muscle cars, most of us Holden fans in australia fit chevs in our cars. 1
Fantom Posted May 2, 2024 Author Posted May 2, 2024 Made some progress…finally got color on the body, factory matched Heritage Brown, from a local supplier…I have a new radiator, core support, charcoal cannister, and battery tray from a 3 d printer. Interior is coming along nicely, dashboard is almost complete using 3D printed instrument bezels, Pioneer head unit, made new steering wheel stalks, still waiting on some decals for instrument panel. Seats and door panels got the chrome trim that Monogram left off, door panels are done, waiting on decals for the herringbone pattern for the seats. I also converted the console to accommodate a 4 speed shifter. 3
