K Trailers Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Has anyone had trouble with the revell Peterbilt 359 I think rig kit staying together. I've used the testers blue tube then used the red tube glue. Still having trouble with it like I wanna throw the thing.
trick my mixer Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I what respect are you talking about staying together. Is it the Revell Snap Tite or Revell of Germany?

clayton Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Like mixer,,if it is a snap kit you need ca glue.if a glue kit find a good model glue.
vincen47 Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 (edited) Yep, even with the “snap” 359, it’s best to glue it. And like it’s been posted above, CA (super) glue and the liquid solvent cements are best no matter which kit it is, they’ll make your building process go so much better. For clear parts, use canopy glue or Micro Krystal Klear. Edited October 19, 2022 by vincen47 1
K Trailers Posted October 19, 2022 Author Posted October 19, 2022 The body as well as body on the frame. It's a complete pain in the butt to stay together.
NOBLNG Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 For close fitting seams I use Tamiya quick setting cement in the square green bottle. Seams with gaps I will use 5 minute epoxy or good old Testors red tube glue. Superglue (CA) in thin, medium or thick is also very popular with a lot of folks on here. Make sure to get rid of flash to get the best fit possible. 1
Fat Brian Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Ok, that's the glue kit, the snap kit has the smaller sleeper. I agree with what the others have posted, you need a selection of glues for different purposes.
