Thinking about building the Deuce Coupe from the Beach Boys album cover. The car has a 344 Olds and I have a Revell Parts Pak Caddy 354(?). How close are these two in appearance ? I will be using a 6/71 blower set up.

Never heard of a 344, it might be a combination created by boring and/or stroking a smaller one.

When that car was first built, all Olds V8 engines were the "early" style.  Cad looks somewhat similar, but Olds engines are available in Revell Anglia, Thames, and original (opening doors) '41 Willys kits.  Willys has the supercharger setup, Anglia/Thames has the valve covers.

The first-gen Olds OHV V8 is visually similar to the Caddy of the same period because they were both GM designs done concurrently.

But there's no shortage of good engines to accurately represent the Olds "344", which is built from an early member of the 303-324-371-394 family.

Revell '50 Olds kits have nice ones, as do the original Revell SWC Willys (already 6-71 blown, too), and all the Revell Anglia-based drag cars.
