gbtr6 Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Am working on my TR6. I have 1:1 of this and want to do a replica. Got a 1/18 die cast and am changing it to look like mine. Some progress. Color is Mimosa Yellow, interior is Chestnut. Have to figure out the wheels and tires and the Union Jack by the tail lights. Perry 2
Craig Irwin Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Sweet ride, I worked at a Triumph dealer back in the 70's and serviced in these cars when they were new.. Really should be a 1/24th plastic kit produced.
Zippi Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Kit is looking pretty kewl and your 1:1 is really sweet.
gbtr6 Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Thanks guys. I do enjoy the 1:1. That's my son driving with his fiancés boy. I've had that car since '77, and my son will inherit it. Perry
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Why in the world a 1/24-1/25 kit is not offered! IMO, this segment is overlooked. We need TR4 AND TR250 added to the mix. So many cars like this on my street back ago. Good luck with your 6.
gbtr6 Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Thanks Robert. I agree. I know a guy that is going to do a TR4 in 1/24th, easy to do a TR250 off that. I've only seen 6's in 1/43 and 1/18. Perry
Bainford Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Glad you decided to do a WIP thread on this one. Fine looking 1:1. As I mentioned earlier, and clearly others are in agreement, a shame no TR4 or TR6 has been kitted in 1/24. Ditto the GT6 (and no, that Lindberg mess does not count).
gbtr6 Posted November 16, 2022 Author Posted November 16, 2022 If 1/43 is your thing, there are some available. They are typically white metal and pretty decent. Perry
gbtr6 Posted November 20, 2022 Author Posted November 20, 2022 Not much new on this one. Got the interior painted. Perry
