They marketed it under the name "Toad". Actually, it was Meyers (who made the Manx etc.) and as it wasn't street legal, they called it Tow'd...a play on words. One of the guys I rode dirt bikes with at the time bought one. We were all living in the San Bernardino Mountain area in southern California, and he would drive this thing often. The traffic laws at the time there were only loosely enforced if at all. 1
