Harry P. Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 How about it? Real or model? The answer: REAL! And remember... if you KNOW the answer because you found the photo, DON'T spoil the fun and tell everyone. This isn't about trying to find the photo... it's about trying to decide whether it's "real" or "model" by looking at the photo!
Clay Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I'm with George, I say real. I will give George another chance
Harry P. Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 Hey Clay... on your new avatar the word "infidel" is spelled wrong...
Cornpatch Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Yup got to go with the George53 as usuall. Its real Harry, dont worry about Clay's spelling, he's a Marine, he dont get paid to spell. He gets paid to adapt and overcome such objects. Not to worry Clay, I spent 7 1/2 years in the corps and I still cant and never have been able to spell. Jeff
ABC Auto Industry Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 My luck has been deteriorating lately, but I'll keep going with it just for the spirit of the game. I'd have to say "real". Then again, maybe I should brush up on my skills...
ricky12 Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 It looks like a model to me .we will see on friday. Unless you send me a mesage to let me know im right .
Trans Am Erik Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I'm gonna say model! It looks like the revell kit. If it is a model, it's an awesome build!
kelson Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I was leaning towards model at first, but upon further review i say 'real'.
Guest promodmerc Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I'm going to say model.Something about the front bumper and lack of front turn signals just say model to me. Don't need turn signals for going straight.
henry57 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 There are no screws in the front license plate, but the windshield looks way to flush to be a model. I would guess real.
fordh8r Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 I'm gonna say model on this one...don't know why exactly but it just doesn't look quite real I guess.

Harry P. Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 Well, I fooled about 40% of you, which ain't too bad! Teacher to student: Can you use the word "Israel" in a sentence? Student: My buddy tried to sell me a watch, he said it was a Rolex. I told him it's fake... he said, no, Israel! Same with the car! Next ROM coming MONDAY!
MrObsessive Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Hey, I got this one right this time! The tip off for me was the side glass. Most modelers don't put in the side glass, let alone make the rear quarter glass slightly offset from the front like the 1:1
george 53 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 THAT'S what gave it away to me too Bill. The original photo is in Car Craft, and IT has the same mis-alighned quarter glass!
MrObsessive Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 THAT'S what gave it away to me too Bill. The original photo is in Car Craft, and IT has the same mis-alighned quarter glass! It's not really misaligned George-------that's how hardtop Camaro glass was fitted from the factory back then. It was probably more practical for the designers to have the front glass shut against the rear quarter glass that way against the weatherstripping, particularly since the glass has no frame around it like they did hardtop glass a few years before. I've got a book on Camaros that shows every minute detail for each year from 1967-81. That's one of the details they highlighted particularly with the '67-'69 models.
