I can only agree! Awesome!

I had built an oilfield rig too but it's nothing like this! Guess I lack the knowledge of details on these rigs!

It's on page 8 in this WIP (5* General) if you're interested but absolutely far from what you're doing!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I switched gears on this and added the cold climate air intakes. A friend RC Mark suggested it and I’m glad I did. Cab, engine and other sub assemblies are just sitting on frame for mock-up nothing glued. Started some painting and hoping to finish soon.

Heavy, heavy duty ! I love it. I would love to drive a unit like that. Awesome details. Just curious as to how you connected all the ‘Canadian ‘ cold climate air filters  to the intakes under the hood. They look so cool. They used to be all over back in the day and these days it is a rare thing to see. I can't wait to see more.

Thanks for looking, Turned the lids using my dremel and used evergreen tube and a pair of Kootney 3D elbows cut down to 45. I will say this, the poly used in 3D printing in this case is very brittle and not very machinable at all. Now to figure out the mirrors.

Very impressive!

I've scratch build mirrors by using 0.5mm brass rods and styrene sheet. The actual mirrors were made by using the shiny side of aluminium foil glued on with a glue stick from my kids!

Here are two examples:

My selfmade Diamond Reo:

The brackets are AMT, the rest is scratch! I just put the rods through the holes of the AMT brackets so you can even move the mirrors!

...and the recently built Autocar DC75T:

Here the whole mirror construction is scratch! Mirrors are printed.

Hope this is not seen as hijacking but it's easier to explain with pictures!

After a long break I am back fiddling with this unit. Building some rigging for picker and bed truck. Winters are long however might be able to spray some paint soon.

Very detailed boom truck, Lewis - is your boom modelled after a particular real life version?

It is loosely based on a National 400ish, lots of modelers freedom. Trying have it somewhat functional for display. Thanks for looking.
