What color are you using here? I don't know if you watch Iron Resurrection on Motor Trend TV, but they have redone a '65 Catalina that had been in his family since new. Might be able to catch a rerun or check out You Tube as they will often have some shows as well as Hot Rod Magazine online.

That's a good looking color on that Poncho.

Thanks Bob, I wanted metallic black.

Good color. Fun build. I built mine when the model came out. Big 421 engine with Tri-Power. Fast car back in the day.

Thanks Robert, I have been enjoying it so far. I have owned this kit for quite some time.

The color is Testors Metallic black from a bottle. Airbrushed it using 50% lacquer thinner. I used to watch Iron Resurrection back when I had cable.

I have been plugging away on my batch build Pontiac interiors. I now have the 3rd one done. Since the 2+2 is a lower line car, the dash and console are blacked out instead of wood grain. I used the same method on the window cranks as the the Bonneville. The arm rests and console are scratch built. The gauges and speedometer are decals from the 65 Bonneville kit. The steering wheel is 5 parts and includes tinted clear portions and a turn signal stalk. I even made 2+2 emblem decals for the door panels.

After deciding to go modern on the wheel choice, the open spokes begged for disc brakes. I got some Pegasus ones that are compatible with their wheels. Since I am actually using the metal rear axle which allows the tires to rotate, I did not like the calipers going round and round with them. I used the extra lowering hole in the chassis to add a second axle pin. With 1/8" tubes glued to the discs, the tires can rotate while the calipers stay put. Yes, I know the discs do not rotate but, they are not separate from the calipers.

I have two of these kits and one has Pontiac in between the tell lights and the other doesn't, like this one. Do you know anything about that

One should read BONNEVILLE. The other is blank and is for the "Custom" version. I made decals to replicate the "PONTIAC" emblem that came stock.

If you have one that actually reads "PONTIAC", you have an advantage over what I had.
