The lettering on the inside of the depresses circle on the 8-lug wheel makes it a '61/'62.

The '63/'64 had these caps,

I am building 3 '65's and a '66. Thanks for the info on the 8-lugs. (Not that I can change the caps at this point)

Are you sure you have a Monogram kit? Monogram's never had holes for axles - just plastic pins.

Probably have an AMT. And there are probably differences between the two.

Yes it's a Monogram as it has the same numbers cast in the parts as my unbuilt 36 kit,after further investigation I seen someone have carved a slot in the engine for the axle.  The original builder must have used AMT parts for a better selection of wheels,I am going to keep those axles and use rims and tires I have in stock.
