jphillips1970 Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Hello folks - Did any model company ever produce a 1967 Pontiac Catalina? - I know that the Bonneville was made but unsure about the Catalina - Thanks - Joe
slusher Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 I remember asking about a 68 Catalina on another forum. I was told they was rare and I saw a really bad one once. Maybe one of the other guys Know…
Mark Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 In manufactured plastic kits, no Catalina, only Bonneville, hardtop and convertible.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Wish a 67 was offered. To really have a cool kit a 67 Catalina 2 plus 2 would be great. They had louvers on the upper side area of the front fenders and large 428 engine emblems on each front fender. Used to see them on the streets. Quick for a big car.
jphillips1970 Posted December 14, 2022 Author Posted December 14, 2022 Catalina and I thought it be fun to build one just to remember them - wasn't anything fancy but could haul a lot of friends around on a Friday night after watching a football game - thanks again - Joe
Carmak Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Loved my old 67 Catalina. Wish I had a better pic.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 (edited) The model manufacturers produced mainly top of the line cars back in the 50s and 60s, which means only Bonnevilles as far as full sized Pontiacs go. The only Catalinas ever produced in plastic were the recent AMT '62, and the Moebius '61. Steve Edited December 22, 2022 by StevenGuthmiller
Bills72sj Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 AMT's 65 Pontiac 2+2 is supposed to be a Catalina but they repurposed the 65 Bonneville which has a longer wheelbase. I have never run across a 67 Pontiac except GTO's and rare MPC Firebirds which had wing windows.
