Awesome looking tro of hot rods!

Thank you Carl, I appreciate your comments. I will make an attempt at polishing out the blemishes in the next couple of days.

Bummer, Bil.  If the glue didn't penetrate the paint, you should be in good shape. If it did, look for a pair of big numerals in you decal stash.?   Your solid color should be good for touching-up. Give it a week on the shelf of shame. It is a beauty ?. Glad you have stock grille installed.

Ahh yes the shelf of shame, it’s had the most time on it than any other model, maybe I should make it a permanent resident haha. The other grille was marginally longer as it came from a monogram 1:24 kit so it dimensionally was not a good fit. I spent last session at the bench ignoring it and photographing the ones that made me happy lol.  As well as getting a load of others ready to sell.

Winners and losers!!! I’m so stoked and choked all in the same breath.
Have finished two old derelict builds. First is the 32 ford Sedan Delivery, I started this way back when I had lots of ambition, so this makes 13 of the 15 32 body styles.

Next is this 32 3 window coupe I got as a well painted body on a poorly done chassis( lots of missing parts) so I added all the missing parts and cobbled a neat little sbf in shades of black.

Now the kick in the pants( front section) I had a good head of steam so I figured why not finish the 34 3 window, so I get it all set up, install the grille, placed the rear deck lid handle, p/s door handle, then disaster struck as I was getting some glue out of my model master cement and it sputtered out a bubble which shot the money shot out on the door( insert choice expletives here), so that’s it I stopped right there and then, still have to install the headlights and adjust one radiator hose. ao what left to do but have a car show on my bench and call it a day. Two of the three will have thread started in under glass. Can you guess which one won’t hahaha

Aww man, that's a bummer. The passenger side looks great!

Thanks Craig, it’s been on my mind lately to get back at it.

Yay!😃

Edit:

"Yay" you're thinking about getting back on it. Not "Yay" about the door.  That's a bummer. Maybe slap a big number on it or....do you have a flame mask? I'm serious 🤨

flames and scallops were often used to hide repairs or custom work so you don't have to deal with re-painting a panel or whole car. I say improvise with some scallops, flames, panel painting, etc.

Well the idea of flames does not appeal to me, I’ll dig through my decal stash and see if I have a number that I can live with.

I’m considering some options, I’m not a big flame or scallop fan though.

Well I think it’s time to blow the dust off and bring this down from the shelf of shame. I’ve given it some long hard thoughts about the paint blemishes and I’m thinking about leaving them as is!

I don't know, what about putting some decals on the doors like "Bil's Hot Rod Shop" to cover the blems. You fix the issue and get free advertising.

I do like the idea Len but it’s the location of the said blemishes that make it slightly difficult to cover.

I hear you it would have to be a good sized logo and maybe there more blemishes then what I can see in the pic

but I’m  thinking like this

That would be cool but I don’t think it will encompass the damage to the paint.
