Finished this up two weekends ago and finally got the pics sorted. It's was an old builtup, AMT body, chassis, and glass, the steering wheel and column came from the AMT 62 Bonneville, I made the shifter and boot, and the interior, bumpers, wheels & tires are from Modelhaus. The paint is Nocturne Blue lacquer. That's it for this one, on to the next.

BTW don't mind the resin dust, I've been doing a little grinding

Yeah, what they said! :D This thing is great!

I would like to see that color in bright daylight. You can barely tell it's blue in those pics. I'm not complaining, it looks outstanding even appearing to be black. :P

As someone who has virtually never built a stock car in my modeling life I consider these sorts of builds totally awesome, an example of modeling discipline I can only hope to aspire to. The interior is, of course, stunning, but the foiling, the paint texture, etc. is all so "in-scale" that builds of this high quality are always a real treat to enjoy.

Thanx for sharing.

Thanks guys!!!!

Louis- the chassis is the Bonneville kit chassis with the ride height adjusted.

.....you're right Fordh8r, I should have taken some outside pics, it definitely would have shown the blue better. Maybe next time

Outstanding bro !. Excellent work you did. In particular, the bare metal foil on the side vent windows I am most amazed by,

I seen this kit at a local flea market but I am too intimidated by all the stainless trim.

That's one of my favorite colors for early/mid '60s Pontiacs!

Excellent build with flawless paint!

If GM would have given current Pontiacs the personality it had when this car was new--------they may not even consider letting the division go.

In fact, a lot more of GM cars could stand some good "character" styling! :D

......like the GTO's from a few years ago.........a great car even with the plastic interior.....they would have been a lot more popular with a rebody to add some of Pontiac's character.......and not Grand Am "character" either

Beautiful restoration that more than does justice of one of the best AMT annual kits ever! This kit definitely has the best interpretation of the '62-'64 GM two-door hardtop roofline.
