I used a set of 10x20 Firestones on my recent Mack build.  I'm trying to figure out what kit they came from, it is a 10 wheel truck as there were 10 to the set.  The Firestone logo was stamped on (not molded in) and is gold colored and outline, not solid.  I've run thru my stash of various kits but can't find a match.  I only have the one set, so it's not likely from the Autocar A64B as I have used many of them for my Brockway builds.  It's not from the Mack R685, nor Freightliner SD/DD nor Pete Wrecker.

Only possibilities are the Transtar 4300 or maybe a different run of one of the kits I've mentioned above?

Thanks for any help.

Are they the ones that look the most realistic,i remember back in the day when they first came out, they started on the MPC mack kits and the gravel trailer.Later when ERTL bought MPC they started to come in the IH truck kits.Anyone remember the tires that came on the original issues of the transtar kits, the hard plastic 2 piece tires, thay were horrible looking, wasnt long until i used the MPC tires on them, made a world of difference. harvey

The lettered Firestones came in the GMC General reissue, they came in the KW Mixer reissue, I thought that they were in my reissue of the Peterbilt Wrecker, but I didn’t dig it out. The YouTube unboxing of the wrecker shows Goodyears though.
The Ertl/ MPC kits had Goodyears. The two piece 4200 and 4070a tires were also Goodyears. I’m pretty sure that all of the issues of the 4300 that I have, including the AMT release, all have Goodyears.
If I am not mistaken one of the AMT truck tire kits has lettered Firestones in it as well.

Here's a pic of the tire I'm asking about.  It's not the General, I have built 2 and only have the one set of tires.  Not the Pete Wrecker, not the Int 4300 nor either of the Autocar kits.  Given what I've built so far, they might be from the re-issue KW 925.

It appears they come with the re-issue KW Mixer.  Not sure how I got my set, as I don't have that kit.  Maybe from the KW W925....

These are from the Ford LNT Snow Plow kit. However, they may be in other kits as well. They may even be the tires used in the tire set they sell.

Well, not in the snowplow kit I have.  I'm starting to think they may appear in various kits at various times.  I have some tires that have Uniroyal on them in the same stamped letter type, they came with an A-Car A64B kit but other kits don't have them.  Could be they get batches of tires which wind up in some production runs.

It's the latest reissue.  Older versions will not have them.

The soft ERTL tires are Good Year 11.00-20 and I really like them as they have some meat to them, the original tires in AMT kits has 10.00-20 wich I think looks a tad small, or 11.00-22 wich looks better, the makes are Uniroyal, Good Year or Firestone.
