Bugatti Fan Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Newbie to the hobby maybe, but I would guess that perhaps there might be an engineer with artistic tendencies taking up the hobby here and absorbing techniques from forums like this one and auto modelling publications. The fact that there is the confidence to cut a kit about accurately suggests skills already acquired doing something else in the past entailing good hand and painting skills that have been adapted. 1

Bugatti Fan Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 You are absolutely right there Mattias. There is an old saying in the UK that ' the person who never made a mistake never made anything. ' Your build is very impressive. You are off to a flying start in this hobby and I am sure that we will be seeing many more of your projects in the future.

I started building the diorama garage and volvo 242 first, they are under wip drag racing and diorama.. there is a lot of Google and Youtube and check how others do.. the engine for this ford and my 3rd project arrives on tuesday so it's on.. 1
Blueberry_no1 Posted March 31, 2023 Author Posted March 31, 2023 now it's close to the finish line the engine I chose is a b230 which is in, among other things, the volvo 240
Blueberry_no1 Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 My second started build is for the moment finish VID_41650619_172415_752.mp4

customline Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 I think we should all agree this is a pretty darn amazing newbie build. The use of an unusual engine shows out-of-the-box thinking. All of it does. No limits, rat-rod thinking for this one. Congratulations, Mr. Ericsson. You have our attention! Tip: I keep a box of band-aids on my work bench. Enough said. ? 1

I was thinking more about starting to build a volvo and putting a v8 in it then it will be "over a volvo engine" that's why I bought it.. have a special imagination.. thank you so much for your words, I hope the volvo (found under wip drag racing) and my third project will be better.. so far the hobby has cost me 6 stitches
