Mothersworry
The Beatnik Bandit II with a few modifications. The top had been made operational with fabricated hinges and metal pins with magnets to hold the top open. Pinstriping on the rear axle and dash is hand painted. Many parts have been plated to match the real car. Big Daddy is finished to match his picture on the box and his "lil" buddy is finished in typical T shirt colors. I wrote the introduction on the instructions for this kit.
espo
'Ol Daddy had a wild imagination when it came to cars, and this is a perfect example. Great looking paint work and clean looking details.

David G.
This is quite probably the best built version of this that I've seen to date! Well Done! David G.

Phirewriter
Very nice build! Nice work on the hinged top as well, looks great. I wish Revell would have incorporated that feature into the kit. Haven't seen one of those built in quite a long time. BTW, what did you paint did you use? The finish looks excellent! Interesting and cool you did the introduction copy, I did the box art build as well as several for display at RCHTA trade show they held in Chicago at the time. Revell had the car on display and was able to have lunch with Ed Roth on the set up day as well as getting a couple of boxes autographed. I also have test shots in unusual colors with clear glass as well as some from the Road Agent since that mold was restored around the same time, did the box art build for that as well.
