I believe the Revell '40 coupe does...

EDIT: I know I've seen one, with a clear lens over it, but it's apparently not in the Revell standard coupe.

I think the one you may be recalling is in the Revell '32 5 Window kit....... Is that correct?

Yup. Just pulled the kit. That's it. Thanks.  :D

Choice of 3 gauge cluster decals to go under the clear lens.

I don't have any of these, but the Revellogram '40 Convertible is a Deluxe trim, so that might be a good place to look.

Ray(cobraman)Kurn's build from a couple years ago, looks like it has the same standard style dash...

Looks to me like it has the rectangular stamped depression the deluxe cluster lives in, different from the red one in your first post.

Yes, but it still rounded, whereas the proper deluxe is flat ..1/2 round top and bottom, with just a chrome square with rounded edges sticking out for the gauges.

I think I'll try to scratch one up

Sorry guys, I was focused on the instrument cluster itself and never noticed that the panel stamping is different between the pickup and the car.

This is a '40 deluxe car unit, below, which looks like Ray's...with the raised stamped surround for the cluster.

Right, I should have mentioned that I am looking for the proper 40's TRUCK dash

Perhaps a base for the dash could be made out of some flat stock. A couple of half rounds could be used for the lower as well as the upper portion of the dash. Some shaping would be required, but the gauges could be created with a few very short parts cut from some round stock. The gauge faces might come from left over decals or some of the ones offered by the aftermarket.
