Needlenosehunter Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Little something I’ve been tinkering with, start as a grey plastic 1969 t500-500 rebuild. My plan was to keep it some what box stock with extra added detail and a few photoetched parts. The trailer im building is a 1967 frameless Freuhauf that’s gonna be combined with 2 original 70’s MPC gravel trailer kits making it a 30ft. I’ll keep posting further I get along……it may take a while lol 2
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I really like what you have come up with here! The grille looks great! Did you rotate the fenders forward and add to the back? I like the frameless dump idea too! What kind of hinges are you using on the doors? They look great! Excellent work!!

Yes the front fenders I rotated forward and made the rear skirt and added to the lower edge of the fender. The door hinges are from model car garage, they are just held in place but a small amount of glue for mock up as I’ll be leaving them bare metal?

cifenet Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The door hinge looks like it was meant to be. Nice job. And love the from grille as well as the details on the wheels. Everything is good here! Would you mind sharing information on the "resin" lug bolts on the wheels? They look very convincing!

Needlenosehunter Posted May 1, 2023 Author Posted May 1, 2023 as I wait for more bolts from RB motion for the 1674 cat I’m building I decided to add bolt detail to my front hubs. I’ll be redoing my Alcoas aswell with aluminum nuts and bolts. Almost ready to start taking everything apart for painting.
cifenet Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 I am following this with great interest! You are executing the build with great confidence and skill! Impressive! I am hope to use this to reference my attempt as well, so I would appreciate more stuff coming.

Would be great if someone came out with one in resin.

gotnitro? Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 the wheel details look fantastic ! looking forward to more updates!
