Another, secondhand Wheel Horse story. Up until when we moved two years ago, we had a next-door neighbor who was a retired career Army officer. Over the course of the twenty plus years we were on the best of terms and would often help one another with major gardening projects. Don had this old mower in the corner of his garage and used it primarily during the winter months with a plow blade on the front and chains on the rear tires. He plowed our drive a few times until I bought a snow blower. That tractor could push more snow than it had a right too.

Thanks, yea it’s a pretty heavy bike but it is really fast. And getting that Redbull wrap(decal)on took a few weeks with a friend of mine.It was really hard to fit on,but it was made specifically for that exact bike.Just pretty annoying.Almost threw the towel in a few times. But we got it done.?.Always wanted a sort of Dakar rally replica.?‍♂️

Well, just since you asked so nice....B)

Here it is just as I pulled it out of the shed, where it had been sitting, unmodified, unmolested and unrestored since I bought it at a yard sale about 30 years ago:

First order of bidness was to get it operational and ridable, which involved ONLY replacing the front tire tube and covering the gash/divot in the seat with black duck tape. Then and only then, after proving that it would make it around the block, did I bother to wash the 30 years of Barn Find Grime off of it. Detailing of various sorts yet to come, but here's what it looks like right now:

I had one of these in 76. It was green with a metal flake banana seat. Come to think of it my childhood was pretty cool.

That’s an awesome bike.?

I got to ride one of those back in the day.  White with blue stripes.  Fastest thing I’ve ever been on, in, or anywhere near.  Scary.

The owner fair warned me to lean out first before hitting the gas if wanted to pass a car.  He wasn’t kidding.  Felt like all I did was blip the throttle and that car was just a spec in the mirrors.
