slusher Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I was noticing some 3 D Resin engines did not have belts and a bunch of pullies and tensioners , how would you take of that?
iBorg Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I'd much prefer these being separate. Most belts are two or three times thicker than they would be in scale. Having the pulleys saparate gives you a much better chance at scale realism. 2
Oldriginal86 Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Built one of Texas3D customs printed LS engines. It comes with pulleys but no belt. Used masking tape to create what almost passes for a serpentine belt. 2
64SS350 Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I cut a thin strip of regular masking tape and painted it flat black. Tack one end on bottom pulley(I used super glue), weave belt around pulleys and tensioners, tack where necessary, tack and cut again on bottom pulley. 5
