Galaxie Limited 1947 Chevrolet Kits, who owns the tooling now?

Is there any hope of seeing these again? I missed them the first time around, and now they are getting out of reach.

Not sure if it is true or not, but there was some talk of Pegasus (owner of Moebius) having acquired the Chevy tooling.  No word on what happened to the Galaxie Limited trailers however.

Last I heard, and this was several years ago from a respected industry source, the tooling was safely stored away in South Korea.  As to whether than has changed since, or as to who owns it, I do not know.  TB

I just picked up the sedan and sedan delivery last week for $25 each. The decals were toast, Spotlight Hobbies had fresh ones. These are quite well detailed, it would be good to see them out again.

I still kick myself for trading away the '48 sedan delivery.

At least I still have the three axle trailer. Not sure when it'll ever get built though. 

I should trade that rare piece off too....

I managed to acquire multiples of all of 'em when they were relatively cheap...except the notchback, which I stupidly assumed would remain in production until I got around to it...

These were $25 each when they first came out. I see them on eBay for $50 and up.

I'm in the same boat as you. That is the one missing from my collection. Oh well, the Aerosedan was my primary concern, and I did get that one.

I still have one of each body style, having sold off a couple of duplicates a while ago. Probably should have kept them.
