garagepunk66 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Is there any hope of seeing these again? I missed them the first time around, and now they are getting out of reach.
redscampi Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Spotlight Hobbies shows they have the Aerosedan in stock for a reasonable price still. https://www.spotlighthobbies.com/manufacturer/galaxie/ And HobbyModels, which I've not bought from have it for a better price: https://hobbymodels.com/collections/galaxie-limited And even cheaper at Strike Force Hobbies: https://www.strikeforcehobbies.com/product2266.html Again, no experience with this vendor. Mark Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 Not sure if it is true or not, but there was some talk of Pegasus (owner of Moebius) having acquired the Chevy tooling. No word on what happened to the Galaxie Limited trailers however.
PintoKING Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Any news lately about the whereabouts of those '46-'48 Chevrolets kits by Galaxie Ltd.?
tim boyd Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 (edited) Last I heard, and this was several years ago from a respected industry source, the tooling was safely stored away in South Korea. As to whether than has changed since, or as to who owns it, I do not know. TB Edited January 13, 2024 by tim boyd 1
bobss396 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 I just picked up the sedan and sedan delivery last week for $25 each. The decals were toast, Spotlight Hobbies had fresh ones. These are quite well detailed, it would be good to see them out again.
iamsuperdan Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 I still kick myself for trading away the '48 sedan delivery. At least I still have the three axle trailer. Not sure when it'll ever get built though. I should trade that rare piece off too.... ?
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 (edited) I managed to acquire multiples of all of 'em when they were relatively cheap...except the notchback, which I stupidly assumed would remain in production until I got around to it... Edited January 13, 2024 by Ace-Garageguy 2
bobss396 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 These were $25 each when they first came out. I see them on eBay for $50 and up.

That is the one missing from my collection. Oh well, the Aerosedan was my primary concern, and I did get that one.
ZTony8 Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 I still have one of each body style, having sold off a couple of duplicates a while ago. Probably should have kept them.
