Gramps46
Made a little more progress. I am now using vinyl film for the white number circles after disasters with old decal circles and decal paper.
Pierre Rivard
That's interesting, I've had similar issues twice. Does the vinyl just comes as a sheet and you cut circles in. Curious to learn more about this.
Gramps46
Just now, Pierre Rivard said: That's interesting, I've had similar issues twice. Does the vinyl just comes as a sheet and you cut circles in. Curious to learn more about this. Yes, the vinyl comes in big sheets used by RC Airplane folks and has an adhesive backing. I use a circle template to draw on the paper backing, cut it out, then peal the vinyl off and apply to the model. It is pretty strong and will stretch to compound curves if needed. You can find it with either a gloss or matte finish on Amazon.
1959scudetto
Always interesting to follow your WIP's Gary - the GT40 roadster is a missing link in the plastic kit history which we will never see as a kit (not even a Fujimi curbside - sigh!)
Gramps46
Today's mock-up. Windshield not attached yet. There is a bit of a glimmer at the end of the tunnel. Edited March 27 by Gramps46
