Bruce Poage Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I am looking for a '61 Falcon sedan delivery body. Does anyone have a lead on where to find one? Secondly I am also looking for a '61 Falcon convertible or sedan. It seems to me I remember a two door hardtop kit about the time I was a freshman in college(1962). With all of these falcons one would get the opinon my hobby room is "goin' to the birds"! I'm always thinking about a new project. Thanks!
curt raitz Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 check out R&D Uniques Website at: http://www.rndunique.com/rnd_displayitem.cfm?pk=247 hopefully this will take you to the 61 falcon panel transkit they offer...

I've liked R&D's stuff for years, but it is too much of a Pain-In The Keester to get ahold of(And I live Close to them, but never can get ahold of them, within their schedule anyways), and when you do the parts don't exactly seem up to par for their prices.... Personally I like Jimmy Flintstone, as they offer the Odd-Ball Bodies,Quality is Top-Notch,Easy to Get Ahold Of, and they are Reasonably priced for what you are getting quality wise...... Jimmy's 1961 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery(Granted there is No Pics, but you can check out his Resin Shiftknobs that he designed, to know he is a Freak for Details)..... http://www.jimmyflintstonestudios.com/onli...etail&p=249

Hi the 61 falcon hardtop and convertible kits are still available from Model round up and also Model Express As far as the conversion kit from R&D Unique I purchased the sedan delivery from them and I still haven't built it. The interior tub is wrong and the casting has so much flash and mold lines that I'm scared to start a life long relationship with it. Jimmy Flintstone is the way to go
hippie6 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I'd find Jimmy Flintstone on the web. I also have one of his Falcon sedan deliveries and it is way cool. And his stuff is only $10 if you find him at a show. I'll see him this weekend at the Detroit toy show. Maybe I could pick one up if you want. PM me.
TomA Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Over here in Australia these transkits are available from Scale Automobilia. I think they are produced by Jaymar Model Parts Australia. Unfortunately they are the GRP (fibreglass resin) versions and pretty fundamental. I have built both of these, but are a lot of work.
