Revell’s 1962 impala super stock THE GOLDEN ROD

This is the revell 1962 impala kit which I converted to super stock trim by making a custom set of headers, and adding slicks. I also slightly modified the front suspension to give it a more aggressive stance. The decals came from mcw paint and resin which I believe are no longer available ? with decals you buy them when you see them as most are not mass produced. If they weren’t so expensive I would buy a second set just in case I screw up the first set.Until next time thanks for looking ?. Mike

Another magnificent job my friend.  I have looked at this car in books for a long time.  So many of these cars I think about building and before long, you build them to a perfection.  Keep up the good work.  I always enjoy your builds.

What! No magazine cover????? Just kidding! Another gorgeous early sixties super stocker! Thank you Mike for cranking these builds out so quickly, applying rare decals to your builds and posting them so frequently. I love this Revell kit, need to keep an eye out for other decal possibilities so I can do another one. Bravo Mike!

Thanks John , I actually built this about 10 years ago when the kit first came out. With decals I find that a lot of times theses small producer’s go out of business or someone passes away. Woopiekat had quite a few decals I would have liked to get. Then one day they were gone. Now I just get them when I see them even if it will be years before I use them.
