I was gonna call this one either "Son of The Pink Pig" or "What a Mary Kay exec would drive". This was a fun kit. The entire engine was plated, but it's decent once it's stripped.  It goes together really well.  The paint is a Duplicolor white base coat, Tamiya pink and then Duplicolor pearl white on top. The red plastic bled through, so it's PINK. :) I'm actually really happy with it.

Unusual but cool! What did you use on the exhaust manifolds to get that nice cast look?

I did a base coat of Revell Aqua Color steel, then a wash of a copper/brown mix for heat staining, then a light wash of flat black.  The engine itself is Revell aluminum and a wash of blue/black.

That looks pretty cool! Definitely a "happy accident"! I traded a boxed kit of that one recently, and quickly regretted it. So the next show I went to, I found a bagged kit for $5!

Nice build!  I just finished the exact same one in silver.  A fun kit for sure
