Question, with so many resin 2 hole wheels on the market, which ones did you use Tom? These wheels look especially nice, and the lug nuts are super detailed.

They also make them in 20". Sometimes the lug nuts are broken off, just got to glue them back on.

Every time I looked at this model on the shelf, those cuts in the grille surround bothered me. I finally couldn't stand it anymore. I removed the cab and re-engineered the hinge point on the cab to allow a complete, unmolested grille. I made a new grille. The shifter still fits through the opening on the bottom of the cab. I lost the working lift pistons, but it was a small price to pay for a far more pleasing grille area. I'm much happier with it now.

I had to go back and look at the first set of pictures to find the cuts in the grille. Isn't it funny that we're all in awe of a perfectly build and you're getting your vest in a knot over one tiny fault, we're all the same though, I do the same with my builds (Aerodyne!). It looked brilliant before but it looks even brillianter   ? now! The only thing that would improve it is a nice old aluminium sided van trailer... ?

That's a very authentic looking truck model! Beautiful!

I Loved building my 4070 a lot! Hope yours was as easy to build? (meaning they precise fit of parts and good quality of the kit).

It's still and will Always be one of my favorite models!

Thanks for sharing!

This build is a workshop in understated super-realistic weathering. As has been said you rocked the underside of the cab - an area often overlooked. I totally get the fretting over the grill detail - we all do that - something nobody else even notices drives us nuts! Congratulations on a masterful execution of a great subject.
