Hi I have been building since 1958 and collecting kits to in 2015 I made my first post with black sapphire a 51 Chevy hardtop I wanted to create a 58 to 62 style street custom a cruiser C/Gasser a car he got for a graduation present and the changes it went through in its life. I fabricated a lot of the parts except for carbs, linkage, bell air cleaners and a distributor kit I fabricated the intake manifold the racing headers, Hollywood wolf whistle, 45 record player from a JC Whitney catalog add,a 45 record box case full of 45s and the heater underneath the dashboard. It took me a year to build this car I finished it and it didn't seem finished while cutting up the tree for parts it came to me would it needed and it was something I said I was going to build one of these days and I finally did it it was a Teardrop Trailer which has not been seen yet on the internet one of these days I will put Black Sapphire in the trailer on YouTube Black Sapphire is on YouTube the trailer was taken from full scale illustrations from old magazines from the '50s this trailer is very complete as if all you had to do was load it full of groceries and bedding and hook it up to the car and head for the nearest beach to where you could spend a weekend surfing even a surfboard. I'm working on two kits right now a 66 Chevyll Nova SS a Grandpa car and a 60 Corvette. What I've read so far that has been posted I seen some really interesting things going on like using foil for the car chrome on some of the cars and wishing I could get a DupliColor paint chart that shows what the current colors that are available my 66 I had a automotive paint store mix up for me because I was not happy with the colors available I wanted an original color from GM the Corvette I used DupliColor. I hope to hear any comments on my stuff l have posted.
