ModelcarJR Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 This is a four day quick box stock build. Body work and paint on Thursday/Friday and rubbing out the body, foiling, and building on Saturday/Sunday. Everything is from the box except for the hood scoop decal which came from the Jaguar XK-E that I had recently finished (a complete coincidence). the paint is Tamiya Coral Blue inside and out with white seat inserts and hardtop. No mirrors, no turn signal indicator lever, no wiring. Now its on to the next project! Thanks for looking! ? 6
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 It's pretty enough that's for sure. Man, that's a fast build.
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Beautiful Bird, in a classic color combination! I know a local man who has a real one exactly like that!
espo Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Great looking '50's color and finish. Like the interior. The kits provided hardtop is a '55 issue T-Bird roof with no side portholes. When these were new the 1on1 owners sometimes sought out a '55 roof not wanting the portholes since they didn't really offer much in the way of additional sight lines.
Yeah Nah Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Amazes me how you guys get such good results in short build times!

Non porthole hardtops were available all three years.
KWT Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Very nicely done. Color definitely suits that era
