I've enjoyed him the last few years in Curb Your Enthusiasm. He will be missed.

RIP my funny man. I liked him in "Wagon's East" with John Candy. 

 

Crazy though, a couple of weeks ago I found one of his stand up specials on VHS (I'm Doomed) at the local thrift shop.

For a long time a lot of people believed that the first part of Billy Joel's song "My Life" was referring to Richard Lewis but Joel has said it's actually about Tony Lawrence.

"Got a call from an old friend, we used to be real close
Said he couldn't go on the American way
Closed the shop, sold the house, bought a ticket to the West Coast
Now he gives them a stand-up routine in LA"

My favorite Richard Lewis bit is from 2&1/2 men. Just perfect. ?
