Edward Gore Posted May 18, 2024 Author Posted May 18, 2024 @NOBLNG @vincen47 Thank you for your compliments. I'm very happy that it worked out the first time and no part were lost flying across the room into oblivion. The springs represent the crimps for the connectors and couplers at the ends of the air lines and I think they look the part good enough. ?
Edward Gore Posted May 18, 2024 Author Posted May 18, 2024 I used the light housings from the FUG kit. One of the oval lenses from the larger lights went flying to an unknown location on Earth so I had to improvise with Micro Kristal Klear. After spraying 'chrome' into the parabola, I layered in Kristal Klear until it was full to look like the sense that was lost. Then wire and sprue was glued into the back to look like boots and wire harnesses. This one on the right was filled with Kristal Klear . Thanks for looking.... 1

Edward Gore Posted May 25, 2024 Author Posted May 25, 2024 Appreciate the compliment ? The most time consuming part was getting everything below deck to articulate together operationally.
Edward Gore Posted May 31, 2024 Author Posted May 31, 2024 More finished pictures here if interested ? https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/192135-switcher-locomotive-switcher-engine-designed-after-a-trackmobile/ The traction wheel cones of the rear articulate to make contact with the rear rubber road wheels to drive on paved road. Just like the real thing! The road wheel arms also articulate up and down for either railroad operation or paved road operation. Thanks for looking...
cifenet Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Yup, this one is definitely special. Your technique of weathering is superb also. And the fine details bring out the quality result. 1
