Thank you for your compliments. I'm very happy that it worked out the first time and no part were lost flying across the room into oblivion. The springs represent the crimps for the connectors and couplers at the ends of the air lines and I think they look the part good enough. ?

I used the light housings from the FUG kit. One of the oval lenses from the larger lights went flying to an unknown location on Earth so I had to improvise with Micro Kristal Klear. After spraying 'chrome' into the parabola, I layered in Kristal Klear until it was full to look like the sense that was lost. Then wire and sprue was glued into the back to look like boots and wire harnesses.

Installed the Pilots, wiper blade assemblies, a couple marker lights, and muffler exhaust system. Wiper blades and muffler are both box stock from the FUG kit. Wheels are next...

I know nothing about the subject matter, but your building techniques on it are GREAT!!!  I’ll be following the rest of this build, now I found it…

The traction wheel cones of the rear articulate to make contact with the rear rubber road wheels to drive on paved road. Just like the real thing! The road wheel arms also articulate up and down for either railroad operation or paved road operation.

Yup, this one is definitely special.  Your technique of weathering is superb also. 

And the fine details bring out the quality result.
