autoquiz 598 - Finished

Recommended Posts

This time I was looking for Honda's first and last V8 powered car. The 1993 - 1998 Honda Crossroad (Model code LJ/LJJ. Based on the Land Rover Discovery it was power by a 3.9l Rover V8 and and build in Solihull/UK. It was only sold in Japan. Some sources say it was also sold in  New Zealand.

Good friendamine offered me one like it for free a few years back when the steering box broke...

I bought a factory manual and a steering box rebuild kit for it, then lucked into a spare engine and gearbox from one that went to the crusher before I could save it...

My fren gave it to his son instead, who said he really really wanted it...and it's still sitting, dead.

EDIT: PM'd

Well I never knew about this Honda Disco! What are the identifying features that distinguish it from the original LR badged one?

honda badges and maybe a very slightly different grille/steering wheel to fit the badge onto

Badge position. The original had the lettering across the front of the hood, which this one doesn't.
