Vampira
What is the difference between a slammer and a curbside model?
Ace-Garageguy
My understanding is that slammers don't have any interior, just blacked out windows But anybody...feel free to correct me.
Bainford
That's my understanding as well. In extreme cases they don't even have chassis plates, just tires glued inside the body.

That's my understanding. Oftentimes they don't have a chassis - just a sheet of plastic or the wheels glued to the body. A slammer primarily shows off the body/styling. Curbsides are focused on what you see of a car when it's parked on the street.
Straightliner59
Everybody's defined it, as I have always understood it, as well. I've built a few of each, and find them to be a nice diversion from superdetailed models, and, often, test beds for future projects. The Firebird is a slammer, and the Vega a curbside. I experimented with the lights, on these, and the aluminum interior, in the Vega, just to develop/hone those skills. I learned, that. Even in a slammer, printed window netting looks horrible!😁
