PatW Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 (edited) I had to put a truck rear view mirror on it to see round the side of the camper shell! Edited April 27, 2024 by PatW 6
PatW Posted May 16, 2024 Author Posted May 16, 2024 Thanks Carl. I should have found and fitted some outriggers to stop it toppling over on corners and an engine hop-up as it only has a 600cc twin cylinder engine, perhaps a V8 or something similar!Â
Chuck Most Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Love it! Best part of this motorhome is that if you are stranded in the desert you can convert it into a motorcycle and escape like that guy did years ago.

Big Messer Posted Tuesday at 02:38 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:38 AM Guy was stranded like 10 hours away from the military checkpoint, but decided to do all that work that took 12 days. Later decides to do another build to document. Takes pictures in a different location. AFAIK the story stinks, but a model of the bike would be cool. https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/morocco/morocco-2cv-moto-survival-story-87691

As a former 2CV owner there are several rules you live by: * downhill and tailwind are your friends. * What is a "rush"? * always carry a screwdriver, a hammer, wire and a pair of pliers. No duct tape needed. If something falls off and the car still runs you didn't need it in the first place. On the plus side: * the car will still run with about half of it's parts * one gal of gas will last almost forever * add some oil when you remember to * there is an oil filter... somewhere Edited Tuesday at 08:27 PM by Big Messer
