RSchnell Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 The '64 has my slight interest, not so much on the other 2. I'll probably wait until the '64 shows up at Ollie's in a year, I just can't justify the price for a curbside kit.
thatz4u Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Would love to see a Skylark GS from the Craftsman series
Mr. Metallic Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Highly anticipating the 64 Malibu as that is one of my favorite body styles of all time. But I may only buy one because it sure feels like it may get the "63 Nova wagon" treatment with a full detail version down the road. I know the original Craftsman 64 was curbside with no custom parts and was never reissued, but I also know Round2 did not invest money in all new tooling for this without more versions planned.
Ragtop Man Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Cat was out of the bag on the Chevelles a while ago; I will probably need to score a few from my LHS that tends to price them well. I can see them getting some traction out there in the market, given the decades of '65 Elcos and Wagons out there since the '80s. Don't sleep on the NASCAR and Sportsman racer types, either, cos this was THE car as the '55-7's started to age out. Get your dremel out, and this pops on the AMT '65 Chevelle Mod Stock chassis, or grab the '72 Monte Carlo re-release (MK, Allison/Coca Cola) and you are in bidness. Of course, MPC GNs and the near-throwaway 90's NASCARs are good donors, too. 1
Dave Darby Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 I hope they fix the headlights on the 72 Chevelle. They're a little bug-eyed after being restored from the NASCAR version. 4
