Chuck Kourouklis Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Actually, Oleksandr, I was just reminded of something once teased and abandoned, that follows a little straighter-on from the Tucker and jives with Red Wheel's penchant for American subjects: A "bullet-nose" 1950 Studebaker with the panoramic backlight. This one is the Studebaker Champion. 3

Danno Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Your kit and the finished example are exceptional! Really captures the Tucker. One of the Tuckers lives nearby . . . in the Martin Auto Museum. Just studied it last week. Great job, Oleksandr! As others have said, be safe! 1

This car has been on my to-do list for a long time now. And to be honest, this theme is closer to me than sports cars. Brian Austin Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 (edited) IIRC the Studebaker did show up as a 1:25 diecast under the Johnny Lightning moniker, though IIRC it was fairly limited in terms of production. I don't think I've actually seen one. Edited August 5, 2024 by Brian Austin

I don't think I've actually seen one. The scale was closer to 1:24 and it was proportionally challenged - wider than it should have been.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 And while we're throwing noodles at the wall, this moves out of the era of Red Wheel's full offering into the time period of their first accessory kit: There's a certain word describing diminished mental capacity, starts with an "r", that polite society is not supposed to use any more - but I can't think of a better word to describe the continuing absence of a boat-tail Riviera in kit form. There's been a swing or two in resin, but nothing on the order of that Tucker 48. 5
Red Wheel Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Very interesting work from Daniel Flynn. Kit Tucker 48 RedWheel. 9
