Original Monogram Folgers kit. Powerslide decals, Model Master Flame Red Lacquer inside and out. Often wonder wonder how the Nascar history books would look had Tim not died.

Great looking build. Like the detailing throughout. I agree with your opinion of Tim Richmond's driving abilities. He was one of the most dominant drivers during his all to short driving carrier.

Beautiful model, that flame red really jumps off of the screen!

I was a Tim Richmond fan, great driver gone too soon. I remember him coming to the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway while he was on his hiatus from racing, before he quit driving. I think it was the night prior to the All American 400. Supposedly someone "stole the pace car" and was running crazy fast laps around the 5/8 mile track. For those that don't know, there's a 1/4 mile track inside the big track. Anyway, Metro Nashville P.D. gave chase to no avail. The pace car stopped at the finish line and out pops Tim Richmond. The crowd went nuts.

Great looking model.  I sometimes wonder the same thing about Tim and how his career would have been and how the history books would be different.  After seeing the ESPN show about his life, I wonder if the old guard in NASCAR would have run him out.  Richard Petty seemed to detest him and France, Jr. did not know what to do until Tim got sick, and then they turned on him with a vengeance.
