BIGTRUCK Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 The 32 Ford coupe 4 in 1 and 32 Ford Vicky 3 in 1 came out with dirt track art work on the box in 2006 I got them right away, only to find out the only thing in the box to make a dirt tracker were the decals and some ideas on a supplement sheet. It did list where you could get the parts ,so on the shelf they went for years. This weekend I decided to build one. I had cast some tires awhile back and found some race parts I can use. Drilled out kit wheels and opened up passenger window. Since the interior is not being used this is the perfect time to lower it a little. So it will also need some correct flathead headers, bump bars, side bars ,roll bars ,tires, floor, etc but it does have nice decals and box art. 2
dwc43 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Ron Coon has just about everything you need to build it into a dirt track car. Even has the correct wheels and header pipes. Ron Coon Resins | Wheels & Tires - For Circle Track Builds 1
BIGTRUCK Posted May 14, 2024 Author Posted May 14, 2024 Got everything done except the headers. I also opened up the top. Once I get those headers done and decide on the color / colors I can get this one done. 3
bobss396 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 I like the bumpers quite a bit, were they in the kit? Probably not. Really, check out what Ron Coon has. He's a super easy guy to deal with is and is also a racer. 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Ken, it looks cool already. I love building the old modifieds, and as Bob suggests Ron Coon Resins has just about anything you would ever need to help make a nice build. Good luck and I will be waiting to see your finished build. 2

Everything race related either came from the parts box or scratchbuilt. The front bumper evergreen plastic and a piece of chassis from a Nascar kit, therear bumper is evergreen plastic and a cut down palmer kit rollbar. Side bump bars are evergreen . Roll bars are parts box bits and pieces. Tires are resin cast. Everything else is kit. This kit was basically a 32 Vicky kit with fancy box art and race decals. No race parts. 1

I have a good NASCAR junkyard to pick parts from. I scavenge roll cage pieces all the time. I have more plastic stock than most hobby shops. I but up .093" tubing #223 when I see it. Works well for any cage work.
Zippi Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 You've got a good run at this 32 Ford dirt track racer. I'm really diggin this one.
TECHMAN Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 KEN, Sure that you know, FRED made a bit of an "error" on the headers on this, flatheads only had 3 ports on each side (center port emptied both center cylinders), thus, only three pipes per side, a fact Fred learned after the box art was already done. FANTASTIC work so far DJ
