Tom Kren Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 OK Little progress on the build got some parts painted trying to mock up some others hope to get r done! Im using a 4 door body from Drag City Castings and a Supercharged engine from Iceman Collection going hi boy with this one! Heres what I have done since last.... 8
Dennis Lacy Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Over here chipping away. Axle and suspension components detail painted and sealed in Tamiya gloss clear. Interior components painted. Colors are Tamiya AS15 Tan and AS16 Light Gray along with more TS88 Titanium Silver like the chassis. Would have assembled, but, I still need to spray the bottom side sating black. I mocked a few things together to get a feel. The supercharged small block is finished. Was undecided on ignition style but landed on a mag from the parts bin and orange plug wires. I think a blower and mag just look right together! Also assembled the radiator, shroud and cap. Down to painting the body and related parts and they will be getting primed in the next couple of days. ? 8 2

Dennis Lacy Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 More work done. Nothing like spending 35 minutes masking the frame and interior to spend a collective 1 minute spraying 2 coats of semi gloss black on the floor areas, LOL! ? Joking aside, thankfully I didn’t screw up! This means I *should* be able to get the frame polished, waxed and the chassis assembled this weekend. ? 8

Dennis Lacy Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Still at it. This afternoon I was able to get the body and related exterior parts primed. One of the things I love about Drag City Casting bodies is that there is literally no paint prep required other than a good wash in plain dish soap. ? Seeing this body in a more visible shade of gray I also can’t help but admire the proportions of the chop. Whoever mastered this body sure did nail it! ? 8

Ed’s resin work is fantastic, it’s almost a shame to hide it under paint, and yeah the guy that did the master for this piece seems to know what he is doing. 3

carnut Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 I finally got the Cadillac engine put together, it came out of the AMT 49 Ford coupe. I have also begun to get primer sprayed on the body and frame. Hopefully I’ll be getting to color here real soon. 6

mrm Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 I have completely ignored my 32 sedan project. Do you guys think I can get it done by the 15th? 1 1 1

So because of the recently reissued '32 Tudor Sedan by Revell, I would like to start a group build-off. Some really simple rules: * ONLY 1932 Tudor Sedans in 1:25/1:24, no matter the kit manufacturer. No Vickies, no Phaetons (even if based on chopped Tudor), no '31s, no Woodies etc... you get the idea. * Any body allowed. Kit's, 3D printed, resin... as long as it is a '32 Tudor Sedan. Some of the great resin cast four door bodies are also permitted. Delivery sedan conversions also allowed. Chopped or stock. * No previously finished models permitted in this thread. This is a fresh challenge. You can enter an already started project, but only if it is no more than 30% complete. *Build-off starts now and the finish line is October 15th. That's almost 5 months, which should give everyone plenty of time to complete their Tudor, considering the subject matter. ??? !!! LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED !!! ??? OK! As for the "*Build-off... the finish line is October 15th." How about cancelling the DEADLINE & we let the thread run as long as the builds are still being work on? For those that finish, post a completed thread on the "Under Glass" page... -KK 4
