Sportabout Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 This project is now complete. The Impala was fun to build even though a few parts needed work to fit. The AMC 258 fit quite well, only the radiator had to be moved forward. The WIP topic can be found here https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/189168-64-chevy-impala-ss-inline-6/ This is not my best model but criticism, sarcasm and other comments are welcome... 14
espo Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Great job on the engine conversion, very convincing and the engine compartment is well detailed. You got the well-used looking body finish you wanted and the chassis detailing goes along with the look.
TheBEAUMONTGURU Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 very nice detailing. i like the A/C compressor
Sportabout Posted June 4, 2024 Author Posted June 4, 2024 Thanks. I know no one would do this to a real car, but scale models have no limitations.
XYHARRY Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Interesting build, I like it. Well done Kari. Cheers, David. ??
ncbuckeye67 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 That is an incredibly detailed "survivor" you have there!
Sportabout Posted June 6, 2024 Author Posted June 6, 2024 Thanks to everyone for the encouraging comments. My next project will be '29 Ford Tudor with AMC 304 + T10 ?
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 Nicely done. I once had a white one with a 327. Nice build.
carrucha Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Cool build. I really dig the engine detailing. Nice to see an inline six in an Impala.
